How to get Rid of Eye Bags Naturally, without Cosmetic Surgery

Eye bags are mild swellings or puffiness that appear ugly under the eyes. According to MayoClinic, Bags under eyes are usually a cosmetic concern and rarely a sign of any serious underlying medical conditions.

Although they are common as you age, possible causes for Eye bags among young adults are stress or a lack of sleep at night, allergies and heredity. With aging, the tissues around your eyes weaken. Normal fat that helps support the eyes can then move into the lower eyelids, causing the lids to appear puffy. Sometimes, fluid may accumulate in the space below your eyes, adding to the swelling.

In 2011, I was working in a hotel as a receptionist. The job was stressful as I worked single shifts of 24 hours, after which I had a day off. One day on and one day off. Most days I got little sleep because we had guests strolling in at midnight. Apart from that, I had another project I was pursuing and this gave me little time to take care of myself, and even less time for sleep.

Before long, I developed these ugly bags under both of my eyes. I wanted to get rid of them fast, but I didn’t know how until I tried these simple inexpensive home remedies. Good lord!

These are natural and home DIY remedies, such as cool compresses.

Below are 5 natural ways to get rid of eye bags quickly and rapidly without cost.

Tea Bags

Yes, tea is not just for drink; your used tea bags can be put into good use if you want to get rid of eye bags. Rather than throwing away your used tea bags after making your morning cup of tea, you can recycle it for this beauty purpose. Tea bags have been found to be an effective remedy for Eye bags.

To do this method, put two to four tea bags inside your refrigerator in the night. Leave over night so that it can be frozen. Once you wake up in the morning, before you shower, bring out two of the tea bags and apply them right on the eye bags in their frozen state.

For best result, lie down flat on your comfortable couch. Make sure you lie on your back, your face facing the ceiling. Put one tea bag on each eye and leave for 5-10 minutes. Repeat the process with the other two still left in the fridge or refrigerator. Do this for 3 weeks and see your face get back to normal. Depending on your skin, to avoid getting frosty, you can wrap them inside a soft handkerchief.

Cucumbers

The vegetable known as cucumbers, just like tea bags can be used to fight eye bags.
To do this, take out one of your fresh cucumbers and wash thoroughly under running water. Get your chopping board and your kitchen knife and also wash them thoroughly.

Now slice out four small pieces from the full stick and put in a clean plastic. Put it inside the fridge for about six hours. Once it is very cold, get comfy on your couch like I explained in the paragraph on tea bags. Place the cucumber slices right on the eye bags in the cold or frozen state. Repeat the process for some days and see the improvement.

Raw egg white

Eggs are loaded with a variety of nutrients. They contain 90% water and 10% proteins. Due to their high protein content, eating egg whites may have some health benefits. As you know, getting enough protein is important and helpful for building muscles. As when eaten, the raw egg white is healthy too. The white part of the egg can help improve the appearance of bags under the eyes.

You might want to fry your eggs instead of boiling it if you want to do this method. Just break your egg inside a bowl or plate, dip your index finger inside the shell and take particles of the egg white from it. Apply it under your eyes, right on the eye bags. Leave it for 30 minutes.
As the egg white dries on your face, you will notice that your face tightens. That tightness actually helps to improve the appearance of eyes bags and that of under eye blackness or dark cycles caused by bleach cream.

Sleep

If lack of sleep can cause eye bags, getting enough sleep is required to reverse the situation. Ensure that you get enough sleep at night. Scientist advise that an average adult should get at least 7-9 hours of sleep at night. A lack of sleep can cause premature aging as it does eye bags, so keep away everything that prevents you from getting adequate sleep at night.

Stop the stress

Like sleep, stress is one of the causes of under eye bags. The first fight of eye bags is to know the cause. If the bags under your eyes are as a result of stress, please reduce your work load.

Give your body a break. The eye bags are signs that you are over working yourself.

Well, for persistent or bothersome under-eye puffiness, eyelid surgery may be an option. Of course you have to get a professional opinion about that.
