Museveni Gives Loan to Enhance Production

The President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni has announced that his administration is supporting manufacturers in the country with low interest loan.

Museveni announced Tuesday, May 26th during the commissioning of Lida Packaging Products Limited in Mbalala, Mukono District.

He said Loans obtained by the government will be injected in the Uganda Development Bank (UDB), to enhance the country’s production capacity.

Lida Packaging Products Limited currently has a production capacity of 560,000 masks per day and is currently employing 315 Ugandan youth with more expected.

‘We have the capacity to produce many things here because we have the raw materials,’ he said.
