The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) announced on Sunday May 3rd that the individuals who were exposed during the burial of late Chief of staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari, have completed their 14 days of isolation.
Recall that the late Chief of Staff died on April, 17 2020 and was burial on April 18. Nigerians lamented when pictures of the crowd present at his funeral flooded the internet despite the pandemic.
Those present at his burial were asked to isolate for a period of 14 days. Tests were conducted on them and they have all tested negative for Covid-19.
This was made known by the Acting Secretary, Dr. M. B. Kawu on Sunday evening via the FCTA official handle in Twitter.
‘The FCT Health & Human Services Secretariat is happy to announce that the individuals exposed during the burial of late COS to the President have completed their 14 days of isolation. Tests were conducted and they have all tested NEGATIVE for Covid-19.’
‘The individuals have now been reunited with their families.’ Kawu said.
