Uganda Deports Kenyan and Burundian Coronavirus Patients

The Ministry of Health Uganda on Sunday May, 3rd 2020, confirmed that the Kenyan and Burundian truck drivers who were tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday have returned to their different countries.

As of today, 1 new COVID-19 case was confirmed out of 2,729 samples of truck drivers-39 year old male truck driver who arrived the county from Malaba. Efforts to track him are underway.

201 samples from community all tested Negative for COVID-19.
Presently, Covid-19 confirmed cases in the country are 89.


The community case confirmed yesterday 02 May, from Rakai District has been evacuated to Masaka RRH and his family members are under quarantine.

2,930 samples were tested today. 52 others who recovered from the virus have been discharged.
